Hey Reader,

For intuitive Western Reiki practitioners, how you've been taught isn't always going to feel deeply connected.

This includes symbols, chakras and even attunements.

And I want to share on this today, because it's been cropping up in conversation a lot recently.

You'll likely feel like I did:

..there's deeper connection available

..somethings missing

..or, "I'm intuitive, so why does this feel all a bit fragmented?"

>>> when you’re working through a mainstream Reiki lineage, that wasn't built for you (Usui, Seichem, Angelic there are many options)

And I’ve been there too - even as a Reiki master - trying to make everything I’d been taught fit because I didn't know there was an alternative.

What I realised was - it wasn’t me, I wasn't the problem. It was how Reiki had been taught to me.

Because mainstream Reiki training teaches you to work through structured systems - symbols, chakras, levels

>>> that come from specific cultural frameworks (likely not ours, or have been man made & then detract from the power of direct spiritual connection)

And for a lot of Western practitioners that doesn’t fully align on an inherent level.

So even if you’re trusting your intuition, you’re still working from a framework that means everything isn't feeling 100% bang on innately.

Chakras

1.Chakras are inherently aligned with a specific culture (that's not Western)

And practitioner's don't always consciously consider working with chakras may be causing fragmentation, like deeper is available, like something's missing.

Some of you will have already identified that and might now then be working with the Celtic Cauldron Power Centres - a Celtic alternative to chakras - in your own personal practise.

2.But secondly, and really importantly..

..you don’t need to work with chakras at all.

(You don't actually need to work with any system for healing because the Guides & the Spirit of Reiki are doing the healing work - so the practitioner isn't necessarily using their hands over specific energetic centres)

Symbols

Similar applies.

For example, Usui Reiki - Japanese symbols, Japanese practises, Japanese protocols.

And to take that a step further..

Symbols that then aren't fully aligned for you as a Western person, have a job to do (like the distance Reiki symbol for example)

But much like I mention above, when healing is spiritually guided, symbols aren't needed for specific jobs because the Spirit of Reiki energy & the Guides - an intelligence far greater than us - lead & direct the healing. Symbol free.

Attunements

I like to think of it like this..

Mainstream Reiki lineage = replication which says we must be given access by someone higher up the ladder, through levels, through lineage, through a system that keeps us reaching outwards.

But what if connection was never meant to be passed down through hierarchy, but remembered from within.

Because reclamation says no rigid rules, no energetic outsourcing, no gatekeeping what was already ours to claim.

We can connect with the pure, clear core – the Spirit of Reiki energy - by ourselves, middle man free, using a technique called Spirit-led Reiki journeying.

Some of my pathway graduates enjoy some of these elements, and others not at all. The point is that when the Spirit of Reiki & the Guides lead the way, each practitioner is guided to work in a way that feels authentic and is most powerful, because it's innately aligned.

I appreciate this, though really simple if we take a small step back, can be made way more complex than it actually is from our overthinking minds. (I'm a recovering chronic over-thinker so I hear this very much!)
